Winery
John and Beryl Anderson established Fermoy Estate in Margaret River in 1985, naming it after an ancestor of John's from Fermoy in Ireland. In 2010 Perth brothers Aaron and John Young acquired the winery.
The Fermoy Estate vineyard is located in Wilyabrup's rich, well drained soils and perfect Mediterranean climate. The vines, now in their maturity, are pruned and picked by hand to heighten the quality of the grapes. One of Margaret River's first vineyards, Fermoy Estate incorporates new ideas and technology, while ensuring everything they do is sustainable. They make wines that showcase their varietal character and the subtle nuances of Margaret River.
Fermoy Estate typifies the strengths of Margaret River, with a focus on Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Semillon. The Reserve range leads, with the Estate and FE collections following.
